Global Day of Prayer - How to Join the Largest Prayer Gathering Ever!
Pentecost Sunday, May 15, 2005 On Pentecost, more than 200 million Christians from almost every country will unite in prayer for Christ's glory and the transformation of the nations. A live broadcast from every continent is planned. Thousands of public venue gatherings are being planned in large stadiums, small auditoriums or homes.
Join/Organize Pentecost Gathering Find out how you can be part of a scheduled gathering or help to plan one at http://www.gdopusa.com. For more information about what's taking place in other countries, please go to http://www.globaldayofprayer.com.
Pray Along With Ten-Day Prayer Guide The Global Day of Prayer is more than a one-day event. Following the example of the first ten-day prayer gathering in the upper room leading to the first Pentecost, a prayer guide has been designed to help focus the prayers of people all over the world from May 6-15.
In North America, the Ten-Day Prayer Guide is available through WayMakers. The guide includes biblical prayer ideas for each of the ten days in a simple 16-page pamphlet. The low cost makes it easy to distribute. Go to http://www.waymakers.org to learn more about ordering the guide. The entire guide is available for viewing online.
While visiting http://www.waymakers.org, take a few minutes to watch the video "The Call from Africa." This short video (13 minutes) presents the explosion of dynamic united prayer throughout Africa which has given rise to the first ever Global Day of Prayer. You'll feel the joy and urgency of their prayers and sense the sincerity and the Christ-centered simplicity of their invitation.
Yours for Christ’s glory,
