Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem

Hundreds of Christian leaders throughout the world are rallying millions of believers to pray together, setting aside the first Sunday of October as the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem. The day encouages praying for God's promise of peace to be realized for all inhabitants of this historic city. Co-Chairs for the event are Dr. Jack Hayford of the The Church on the Way and Rev. Robert Stearns of Eagles' Wings.
Organizers expect 100,000 churches from around the globe will take part in this event. Leadership teams are already working in more than 70 nations to mobilize participation. The day calls for sustained, fervent, informed global intercession for the plans and purposes of God for Jerusalem and all her people. This global grassroots prayer initiative coincides with the season of Yom Kippur, recognizing the Jewish roots of the Christian faith.
Things you can do: - Commit to pray daily for the peace of Jerusalem. - Introduce the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem to your local church, small group or Bible study and to other churches.
