The Da Vinci Code (May 2006)
The runaway best selling novel “The Da Vinci Code” by Dan Brown is by all accounts a well written, highly captivating story with a very controversial theme—a potent combination that has spawned a host of network specials and documentaries, a virtual cottage industry of “books about,” and now a feature film. The book has captured the fascination our culture seems to have with the occult, with “new age” philosophies, and with anything that gives credence to the increasing skepticism with which we tend to view traditional institutions—including, in this case, the Church. The Chronicles of Narnia Movie Outreach (December 2005)
2005 brought a unique opportunity for the Mission America Coalition team to mobilize churches and ministries across the country in support of the evangelism opportunity afforded by the release of “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe.” MAC leaders became convinced that the film, based on the compelling stories of the beloved Christian author C.S. Lewis, had potential for reaching deep into the culture with the gospel message, and reaping a great harvest for the Kingdom. (Read More & View Resources)
Gulf Coast Hurricane Relief (August 2005)
A number of Mission America Coalition partners worked together to help Gulf Coast residents as they faced the monumental task of rebuilding their lives following the devastation of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. (Learn More)
